Show case - Modular Barge System

B2Gold – Goose Lake Mine, Nunavut

From concept to Arctic deployment, Davey delivered a custom modular solution for a remote mining operation.

THE CHALLENGE

Working in the high Arctic required a solution that could be:

Custom-designed for the project
Fabricated and prepared off-site
Transported by aircraft
Quickly assembled at the remote site
Integrated with piping, wiring and agitation systems

OUR SOLUTION

Davey designed and fabricated a modular bargesystem specifically for the project.

The system was: Designed → Fabricated → Transported → Assembled→ Integrated → Commissioned

Components were flown piece-by-piece by 737 aircraft to the remote site, where the team rapidly assembled the barge and completed the required wiring, piping and agitation work.
